I mean other than the fact that it’s probably a crime against nature to put OEM Honda wheels on a Chevy.

Long story short I was researching something completely separate and stumbled across the fact that a Honda Ridgeline has essentially the same bolt pattern as small 5 lug Chevys like S10s. And then I saw a set of these Ridgeline wheels on CL...

Also please forgive the rough Photoshop. I don’t actually have Photoshop at work so this was mostly done with PowerPoint. Original photo for comparison’s sake...

They would look pretty cool, but from what I can find, the center bore of the Honda wheels would be about 10 mm too small and the offset would be off by about 40 mm. That’s assuming the wheel data I found was right.

Well I would say I’ll stick her in the passenger seat... but since I can’t get my wife to even set foot in this whistling shitbox she’ll probably just “meet me there” like usual.

Yeah spacers would definitely be necessary. Which could hopefully solve both issues at once. I just like doing stuff that’s never really been done before. Plus I have been thinking about getting some new larger wheels for the truck anyway.

I actually used to run Gimp from a flash drive at work a loooong time ago back when such things were still allowed. Now we can’t use flash drives or any unapproved software on our work machines.

I mean I could have waited until I got home and actually used Photoshop. But where’s the fun in that?

Is essentially interchangeable with actually in this situation?

Chevy bolt pattern is 5 x 4.75" which is 5 x 120.65mm in metric. The Honda wheels are 5 x 120mm. So they are not technically the same actual bolt pattern, but what’s half a mm between friends.

To summarize, we have been thinking about getting my wife an Odyssey, and while researching different DePAX options I saw a few Odysseys running Chevy wheels... and Ridgeline wheels.

I’ll give you a reason. I’ll give you a really good reason.

It looks terrible.

Ohh. Interesting. I think they would look good. You could probably find some blank center caps w/out the ‘H’ or paint over them. I like the S10. Single cab, short bed, and 2wd is always a win with me. You don’t see many from that era anymore.

I had this truck 12 years ago.

That’s a really good looking truck. I’d put money on that generation Silverado becoming a collectable in the future, they just have such a clean timeless look.

Sometimes I’ve thought about just selling the S-10 because I rarely drive it anymore. But then I think about how many other cars that I still regret selling and I realize there’s just no way I could let it go.

See but there’s the rub... non-terrible looking 18" wheels cost so much more.

Then don’t put 18" wheels on it.

I agree with you on that. I wish I could have kept it but I couldn’t afford more than one vehicle at the time and it was so impractical for just about everything. Sure was fun and kinda rare having the 5.7.

That’s definitely the other option.

Yeah this truck is mostly just a toy, but luckily it doesn’t really cost me anything to keep it around other than a bit of space in the yard where I usually park it. It’s registered as an antique so there aren’t any registration fees or inspections anymore, and the yearly property taxes on it are $30. But when I added it to my insurance policy it actually reduced our insurance bill by at least as much, if not more. That’s the other reason I just can’t bring myself to sell it.

Yeah I like the idea of doing something very different. And I have literally never seen anyone put OEM Honda wheels on an S-10. And I’ve been looking too.

FACT: Those Chevy 5 spokes are one the best looking wheels ever.
